Current Financial Opportunities

Current hydrogen-related funding opportunities through the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Hydrogen Program are listed below. The Hydrogen Program offers opportunities for both financial and technical assistance.

To explore current financial opportunity solicitations, click on the opportunity titles in the table below. To sort the list, click on the arrows in the column headings.

Technology Solicitation Title Open Date Close Date
Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Light-Duty Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Validation Data
U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Fuel Cell Technologies Program

Although the Fuel Cell Technologies Program attempts to maintain current information on these solicitations, the official source for funding information is Grants.gov. If inconsistencies exist between this site and Grants.gov, Grants.gov should be considered correct.

All DOE-funded proposals for hydrogen-related solicitations must include a preliminary safety plan, and all funded projects must complete a more detailed safety plan as part of the project. For details, see Safety Planning Guidance for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Projects (PDF 297 KBPDF), April 2010. Download Adobe Reader.
